The SELF website is created to serve children, families and providers by having the most current, valuable information for early learning, 0 to 5 years of age. The following information is categorized in three distinct sections:

Families and Neighbors - This category is designed to serve families who are raising children. This can be biological parents, adopted parents, step parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, foster parents and others. Neighbors have been included because we are working as a "neighborhood" to raise children.

Providers - This category is targeted toward individuals working directly with children or indirectly by working in careers that benefit early learners and families.

Community - Deleted the first sentence of this section. This portal includes information for advocates, policy, donors, the business community, and others who have an interest and desire to serve the needs of children but that are not working directly with children. This includes, but is not limited to, doctors, police and judges.
